
Before you go there for some medical care, you should make it clear whether your insurance will cover the service, because most expat hospitals will charge you similar fares while offering the similar service you may get from your hometown.
If you decided to see a doctor in local public hospitals, that's ok. Some of them have VIP wards and appointment line. English is also available. But if you want to do as Chinese do, you should have an interpreter accompanied, because most of the doctors and nurses in the city cannot speak English fluently.
You should also need the ability to share a room with three or more Chinese patients, if you need to stay in hospital.
